B.Tech in Printing Technology is an engineering degree that blends design-to-production fundamentals with manufacturing, materials, and process control used in modern printing and packaging. Students learn pre-press operations like typography, layout, imaging, and plate-making; press operations across offset, flexo, gravure, screen and digital printing; and post-press processes such as binding, lamination, coating, cutting, and die punching. The programme also develops competence in colour science, densitometry/spectrophotometry, print quality evaluation, and standardisation practices used by print houses and packaging converters. Alongside core printing subjects, the curriculum includes engineering basics, automation, and maintenance to support shop-floor decision-making. Industrial training, lab work, and project-based learning expose learners to end-to-end production workflows and packaging requirements for FMCG, pharma, and e-commerce. Graduates are prepared for technical and managerial careers in printing presses, packaging plants, newspaper and publishing units, and print technology vendors, with increasing demand driven by branding, labels, and high-quality packaging.
