For the erstwhile MBBS entrance: Candidates needed to have passed or be appearing in 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English, and generally required at least 50% aggregate in PCB (45% for persons with disability where applicable and 40% for SC/ST/OBC where applicable as per the then-prevailing rules). Indian nationals/OCI and other categories as notified by JIPMER were eligible subject to admission rules applicable at that time. Currently, candidates seeking MBBS at JIPMER must meet NEET-UG eligibility and participate in counselling as per applicable authorities.
