VITEEE 2026 - Exam Pattern

VITEEE 2026 has revamped its pattern to include aptitude and English, making it more comprehensive. The 2.5-hour CBT features 125 MCQs in two sets: MPCEA (40 Maths, 35 Physics, 35 Chemistry, 10 Aptitude, 5 English) or BPCEA (40 Biology instead of Maths). For the first time, negative marking applies (-1 for wrong answers), with +4 marks for correct (revised scheme encouraging accuracy). Unanswered questions score zero. The aptitude section tests logical reasoning, data sufficiency, and puzzles, while English covers comprehension and grammar. Core subjects draw from Class 11-12 topics, with moderate difficulty focusing on application. The new negative marking shifts strategy towards cautious attempting, rewarding precision over guesswork.
