The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has opened the registration process for UCEED 2027 on October 1, 2026. The Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) is conducted for admission to B.Des. programmes at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee and IIITDM Jabalpur.

UCEED 2027 Registration: Important Dates

The online registration with the regular fee has started from October 1, 2026. Candidates can submit the application without a late fee until October 31, 2026. The registration window with a late fee will remain open until 5 PM on November 6, 2026.

UCEED 2027 Application Fee

For Indian candidates, the registration fee is ₹2,000 for female candidates and SC/ST/PwD candidates, while the fee for other candidates is ₹4,000. A late fee of ₹500 will apply after October 31. Foreign-national fees vary according to nationality. Bank service and processing charges are additional.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet all three eligibility conditions. For UCEED 2027, candidates in the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL categories must have been born on or after October 1, 2002, while the corresponding date for SC/ST/PwD candidates is October 1, 1997.

Candidates can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, in consecutive years. They must have appeared for Class XII or an equivalent examination for the first time in 2026 or 2027. Students from Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities streams are eligible.
